- Nor required in clearn surgery unless prosthesis is implatented
- Use antibiotics against expected pathogens as according to hospital guidlines
- Plan for single shot IV antibiotics at induction of anesthesia (desicive period)
- Repeat antibiotics dose only when surgery is long of excessive blood loss during surgery
- Patient with heart valve disease of prosthesis should be protected from bacteremia caused by dental procedures, uretheral instrumentation of any visceral surgery.
